Then God said, let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea, and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground. God blessed them and God said to them, " Be fruitful and multiply, fill the Earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and upon every living thing that moves upon the Earth. The garden of Eden is akin to an allegory, to say the Garden of Eden was a higher state of consciousness held by human, and because of the human disobedience that stood against the Truth, the consciousness of Truth Peace and Love that was held in the Garden, by the Human fell, and Humans moved to a lower state of mindset/consciousness.

To regain the same level of consciousness as in the Garden, we must elevate ourselves and this cannot be done if Human stand against the commandments instructed by the Lawgiver, for breaking the commandments of the Lawgiver, is falling into sin, falling into a lower state of consciousness.

Understanding that most religious teachings and instructions are all intended to make the individual into a better human being, or in a better or higher state of consciousness/mind-set, that is based on peace, love, truth and respect, we can conclude that not all understand the message.
