How can the practice of Daily Gratitude shift your perspective?


Life is a series of events that has its results based on your actions. If your mind-set is based on actions that are derived from thoughts associated with hate, pride, jealousy or anger, these thoughts will continuously keep looping in your head and you will constantly keep thinking and feeling these thoughts and emotions and hence the actions you undertake and the words you speak, will only be a reflection of these thoughts/feelings inside your own head, and the results will reflect the same.


When we shift our minds/hearts/emotions/thoughts towards a higher and better thinking pattern which is Gratitude where you give thanks for the things you do have in your life. By focusing on what you do have, you become filled and refueled by joy because you are now focusing on the fact of what you do have, where previously you were addicted to thinking about only that which you do not have thus causing chaos within the self.


Your attention is like a compass, like the compass catches magnetic fluctuations of the Earth, your attention keeps drifting from one thing to another, like your thoughts fluctuating. By focusing on practicing Gratitude everyday, you start to associate yourself with abundance rather than lack, which invariably with practice on a long enough time-scale will bring the results of joy and happiness into your heart.


Everyday Practice: Upon waking up and before sleep, remind yourself of all the things that you are grateful for. Do this for the next 3 months and watch the shift in your thinking.
