From the IT boom to artificial intelligence to sending spacecrafts
to the moon, humans have always innovated and applied their ingenuity to solve
various problems that were beneficial for mankind. Mankind needs no
introduction. Many of these innovations have been used for the benefit and for the
harm of their own species, and today mankind is moving into yet another technological
advancement.
…and its not AI, it’s the ability to harness machines to
complete tasks without the need for human beings, and that’s a great
technological advancement, the unimportance of human beings.
They beat you to it. While you were preparing to utilise AI
and improve your skills to become better at your job, companies decided why is
there even a need for an employee when the AI is available at their disposal. You
lose your job, the company makes a profit.
Although many say that it isn’t AI that will replace you, it
is that those who do not know how to use AI who will be replaced, but is this
true?
…but yes, you do have an advantage over those who do not know
AI, but then Oracle recently fired 30000 employees to automate their systems
for their AI-driven future, and 30000 employees is 20% of Oracle’s workforce.
So, are we to say that among those 30000 nobody had the necessary AI knowledge?
The fact is that it’s not that if you know AI or not that can
save your job. Companies decide if you will be useful to their organisation or
not, or could AI do what you can, and if AI can do what you can, do you think
they will keep you around?

I am with you on this, you want to keep your job just as
much as me, but AI programs that are mass computing and advancing each day for
various organisational processes are being implemented today.
In this advancing age of AI, do you think those 30000 people
who just got laid off at Oracle would be able to find a job, or would it be
more difficult? As various companies adapt and use AI, the need for human beings
reduces, and many people may have to find jobs that are dissonant from their
current field of interest.
